about

This song is autobiographical in the sense that I have a tendency to look outside myself for happiness, even though since I got saved in 2016, the truth dwells within.

So many of my dreams and goals God surely just laughs at, after all He's given me everything I need and more.

The 'God Speed my friend' lines around the middle of the song, as dramatic as it sounds, was really just me needing to move on and turn a new page in my life. My producer when he heard this song (God bless him!) reached out with an r u ok? message, I am fine despite the storms of life but for anyone going through a particularly tough time there are some excellent support networks you can turn to, for both your physical and spiritual requirements. One such charity here in Tasmania is 'Speak up stay Chatty' you can call them from anywhere in Australia on 1300 364 277.
'Suicide, a permanent solution to a temporary problem.'

Ultimately, if you haven't already, Invite Jesus Christ into your heart. Not only is He the Saviour of the whole world, He will calm the storms of life every time.

'A man that hath friends must shew himself friendly: And there is a friend that sticketh closer than a brother.' Proverbs 18:24

lyrics

All of that time you spent
Looking outside yourself
All of those riches you strived for
Bags full of holes

All fade away
Fades into nothing
Wood, hay and stubble
Just nothing

All of that time that you
Spent chasing something
That will just end up
Burnt in the fire

All fade away
Fades into nothing
Wood, hay and stubble
Just nothing

God Speed my friend
I can not stay here
God Speed my friend
I have to go

All fade away
Fades into nothing
Wood, hay and stubble

Just nothing
