The symphony of a thousand dreams

from Parameters by Phillip Ragan

/

lyrics

Night attacks day as moonlight invades
Alighting the hills and the valleys
I live in a town in the hills near Geneva
That's home to a heavenly choir
And when they sing and the piano plays
I'm taken away from the valleys
Taken away to a magical place
That's far from it all

Daylight holds out, the sky turns magenta
As brilliant stars glitter brightly
This town where I live in the hills near Geneva
Is suddenly under a spell.
A kaleidoscope of colour and joy
Radiates over the valleys
As the orchestra plays a chorus of colours
A landscape of musical bliss

And the symphony of a thousand dreams

The notably beautiful young violinist
Plays with such poise and conviction
She speaks to my heart with Her wonderful gift
And takes me away from it all
The audience offers total surrender
As the symphony reaches conclusion
I look to the west with my head in the clouds
I'm taken away from it all

And the symphony of a thousand dreams

Later I find myself down by the river
Over the bridge and the valleys
I look to the hills and think to myself
Someday this will all turn to dust
Everything's real yet seams like a dream
As raindrops fall down from The Heavens
And then it hits me for it's there in The Scriptures
Dark and Light can't coexist

And the symphony of a thousand dreams
