Written by Phillip Ragan, this song is about the Supply River mill in Robigana, Tamar Valley.
To be a little mysterious perhaps, I named the song Rachels Waterfall as it is a place my wife especially likes to visit to escape the troubles of this world!
lyrics
Around about a mile from here
Just turn down Deviot Road
A place that is peaceful a place that is free
A place where the river flows into the sea
I'll take you there myself some day
We'll turn down Deviot Road
A place in the country wild and free
Surrounded by sky, serenity!
I praise the Lord.
There's nowhere I'd rather be
Nowhere that I feel so free
The stone, the river, the trees
The summertime breeze
Rachels Waterfall
Sunlight has brushed with gold
The perennial river that flows
Forest behind us water ahead
Everlasting joy is where I'm being led
By 10 am sunlight has cleared
The last of the morning dew
The ruins behind us like yesterdays pain
Will never bind us or hurt us again
I praise the Lord
For there's nowhere I'd rather be
Nowhere do I feel so free
The stone, the river, the trees
The summertime breeze
Rachels Waterfall
